This Refund Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and credits work for Flint. It is part of our Terms of Service. Your payment is processed by a Merchant of Record ("MoR") engaged by Anycast; the MoR's payment terms apply to the billing relationship in addition to this policy.
Plans and credits
- Subscription plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis (as you choose at checkout).
- Credit packs are billed in advance and apply against usage as disclosed at purchase.
- All fees are stated at checkout and are exclusive of applicable taxes; the MoR will add tax where required.
No refund by default
Because each AI-generated video consumes real-time compute and third-party model charges, fees and credits are generally non-refundable. In particular:
- Credits, once consumed (i.e., once the Service has started processing a generation), are non-refundable regardless of whether you use the Output.
- Subscription fees for the current billing period are non-refundable after use of the Service in that period.
- Partial-month or partial-year refunds are not provided on cancellation.
New-customer satisfaction window
As a one-time courtesy to first-time customers, we will consider a refund request that meets all of the following:
- Received within seven (7) days of your first paid purchase with Flint (first subscription or first credit pack, whichever is earlier).
- No more than 10% of the purchased credits (or equivalent subscription usage) has been consumed at the time of the request.
- The request is made in good faith and not in connection with abuse, fraud, chargeback disputes, or an AUP violation.
- The refund is requested by email to [email protected], not via a payment dispute or chargeback.
Approved refunds are returned through the Merchant of Record that processed the original charge. This window is a one-time courtesy and is granted at our discretion; it does not apply to renewals, subsequent purchases, or accounts with prior chargebacks at Flint or its Merchant of Record.
Statutory withdrawal rights
Regardless of the sections above, where local consumer-protection law grants you a non-waivable right of withdrawal or cancellation, that right applies and is honoured by our Merchant of Record. In particular:
- European Union / United Kingdom — 14-day right of withdrawal from the transaction date.
- South Korea, Brazil, Canada, China — 7-day right of cancellation.
- Singapore — 5-day right of cancellation.
For digital content that has begun streaming, downloading, or processing (including the moment you start a video generation), you expressly consent at checkout to waive your right of withdrawal to the extent permitted by local law for credits that have been consumed. Statutory refunds are processed by the Merchant of Record to your original payment method.
Flint is offered only to customers located in the United States (see our Privacy Policy). These international statutory windows are listed for completeness because the Merchant of Record operates globally; they rarely apply to Flint customers in practice.
Service issues
If the Service fails to deliver a requested Output because of a confirmed defect on our side — excluding your Input Materials, prompt content, safety-filter rejection, ad-platform rejection, third-party model outages, or the probabilistic nature of AI generation — we will, in this order of preference:
- Re-run the affected generation at no additional credit charge; or
- Restore the equivalent credits to your account; or
- Where (1) and (2) are not practicable, refund the affected portion of the fee via the Merchant of Record.
AI generation is probabilistic. Hallucinations, artifacts, uncanny-valley output, mismatched voiceover, brand-off aesthetics, and results you simply dislike are a limitation of current AI models and are not a "Service Issue" under this section. We will not refund compute for outputs you chose to discard.
Cancellation
- You may cancel an active subscription at any time — either in-app from your account settings, or by replying to any billing email, or by emailing [email protected]. We honour California's Automatic Renewal Law (as amended 1 July 2025), including the same-method-as-signup cancellation right: if you subscribed online, you can cancel online in one step, without a retention call or chat.
- Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not refund the current billing period. Paid access continues until the end of that period.
- Any unused credits from the cancelled period expire per the entitlement terms disclosed at purchase.
- We may cancel or suspend your account for breach of the Terms or AUP; in such cases, fees are non-refundable.
Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your card issuer (chargeback) rather than contacting us first, we may (a) pause or terminate your account pending resolution, (b) reverse credits issued, and (c) require payment on account before reinstatement. Please email [email protected] before initiating a chargeback; most issues resolve quickly.
Our Merchant of Record operates an automated chargeback-defence system; once you initiate a chargeback, neither Flint nor the Merchant of Record can submit supplementary evidence on your behalf. Contacting support first is therefore strictly better for resolution, and almost always faster.
Fraud and abuse
Refund requests associated with fraud indicators, policy violations, or abuse of the new-customer window may be declined. Repeat refund requests across accounts may be treated as abuse.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] from the address on your account with (a) your account email, (b) order or invoice ID, (c) reason for the refund request. We aim to respond within five (5) business days. Where we approve a refund, the MoR that processed the original charge will process the refund to your original payment method (typically 5–10 business days).
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
